House Amendment 61 , 113th Congress
Purpose
An amendment printed in House Report 113-52 to clarify that the prohibition on compensation for Members of Congress as well as language to require that the Secretary report to Congress any time the new authority is used.
Description
Amendment clarifies that any debt issued pursuant to the bill may not be used to pay salaries of Members of Congress and also clarifies that the Secretary must report weekly on the amount of debt issued as well as the reason for such issuance.
